Naked as We Came
I love this song. I love that it talks about life and death, love and loss, all the while with the most beautiful sense of peace. When I am old and married happily, I want to feel this kind of peace about passing on. Here are they lyrics:
She says "wake up, it's no use pretending"
I'll keep stealing, breathing her.
Birds are leaving over autumn's ending
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes 'round the yard
She says "If I leave before you, darling
Don't you waste me in the ground"
I lay smiling like our sleeping children
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes round the yard
Taken alone, "spread our ashes 'round the yard" can sound a bit morbid, but in the context of this song, the meaning changes completely.

I can't believe I've had this song on my ipod forever and never gave it a listen... Beautiful.
